Unless I Figured Wrong

We are constructed of flesh and bone.
We are fifty to seventy-five percent water.
We are held together by sinew.
We are held together by memory.
We are held together by community.
We are guided by a variety of myths.

We live on in memory
for as long as someone remembers us.

The Earth remembers all of itself,
of which we are part, for all time.

The Sun remembers all it touches
in the light reflected back upon itself
by the planets.

The Void contains
the vibration resonance of the Big Bang,
thus remembers when we were all one.

  1. Wonderful poem. Loved it. One part reminds me of Rilke, that we exist as long as someone remembers us. Your Big Bang connection is brilliant. Suzanne
