I tried to find
the Shallow South
on maps of the USA
and then
through an internet
search engine.
I located an entry
in the urban dictionary
that states
Arkansas Oklahoma
Tennessee and
South Carolina
fit that description
because they could
substitute
for a Deep South state
based on social-economic
attitudes and behaviors
if a Deep South state
fell into the ocean
was eaten by raccoons
or turned blue.
