His mother discontinued being dead.
Her awakening took place in a far away state.
He was unaware of the development.
She felt her emergence
was part of a scary movie scene.
She passed by university students holding hands
as she exited the cemetery a bit disheveled.
A childhood friend called Paul
and reported the sighting of his mother.
This was not a fever dream or bad trip
the childhood friend reassured Paul.
This was a new definition of woke.
Paul joined the local Wide Awakes chapter.
