The first person Lori fell in love with
was imaginary.
He appeared and disappeared
out of survival instincts.
He showed up most often
when Lori walked the forest.
The deeper she went
the better the chances she would see him.
Since he was imaginary
Lori wondered why she could not control him.
He did not appear when she needed comfort
or just wanted someone to hold.
Lori thought she might be the imaginary one
and he was afraid of the city.
